Credit Union Overview
Every Wednesday morning from 7:40 to 7:55 students can deposit money into their Alternatives Federal Credit Union accounts right at the school gym.
Students can deposit as little as a penny and as much as $10 (in cash, no limit for checks). Parents and fourth- and fifth-graders serve as tellers. Last year, an average of 54 students deposited money every week.
To open an account for your child, we need:
- child’s social security number
- driver’s license (or other photo ID) if you want to be co-signer on your child’s account).
- $3 for each child they are signing up ($1 of this money will be the child’s initial deposit, the remaining $2 are the fees that the Fall Creek PTA must pay to Alternatives Federal Credit Union for opening student accounts.)
- your child’s signature
